TherapyPM offers you options to create two types of authorizations: Individual and Group. Even with group sessions, you no longer need to navigate or browse through multiple tabs. Just as you add multiple patients in a single session, you can do the same with authorizations too! 


Creating an Authorization Individually


Before creating a group authorization, you must create an active individual authorization in the patient authorization module. For further guidance on creating one, visit this article! 




Converting Individual Authorization into Group Authorization

Once you created the individual authorization in the module, navigate to the authorization in the Authorization list


From there, you can follow the given steps: 

  1. Click the Primary Auth tab on the screen (right). 
  2. Turn on the Group Toggle
  3. Save Auth finally! Note: Refresh your web browser after you Save Auth to view changes. 

Once your Group toggle is on, your group authorization services will be added automatically to the list of services under the Service Utilization tab. 



Navigate Your Group Authorization

  1. To update the service details, click the Service Utilization tab. You can see the service list section under the Primary Utilization tab
  2. To edit the added group service, click the Edit (Pencil) icon.
  3. In the Edit Service screen, update the required information. Save changes finally! Now the authorization can be used to schedule group appointments.

    Final Note: Group authorization is denoted by a Turquoise color "G" badge in the appointment block.
