The 2-step authentication process provides an additional layer of security for user login on top of your account password. The 2-step verification in TherapyPM will send a code to the user’s phone number and email address. This feature is available only for the admin portal.


You should use 2-step authentication because it adds an extra layer of security to your accounts. Even if someone steals your password, they can't log in without your second verification step, the code sent to email address or phone. It helps protect sensitive information from hackers and prevents identity theft. 


1. Click the profile section in the portal. Then, click the Change Password option.

2. Click the 2-step verification toggle to activate the function. Click the Proceed button in the following confirmation screen.

3. Click the yellow badge link to download the 10 backup codes, which can be used as an alternative for the code that will be sent to the email or phone number.


Note: Users should store the 10 backup codes in a safe location that can only be accessed by the account user.


4. The system will only send the codes to the email address and phone number in the above section.

5. Once the 2-step authentication is activated, every time the user logs in to their account by using their password. The system will prompt that a code has been sent to the user’s email. Use the code sent to your email or use one of the backup codes to log in to the user portal.
