Split by Provider is a claim-division rule in TherapyPM that separates claims based on the billing provider assigned to the services.
When this rule is enabled, TherapyPM will create individual claims for each provider, ensuring that sessions linked to different providers are not combined into a single HCFA claim.
Where to Find This Setting?
- Navigate to Billing > Billing Setup > Billing Settings.
- Under Claims Division Rules, toggle ON Split by Provider under the Actions column.
Why This Rule?
This rule is useful when:
Your practice has multiple treating providers
Different providers are associated with different billing NPIs
Payers require provider-specific claims
You want cleaner, more accurate billing with reduced provider mismatch denials
