Split by DOS and Session is a claim-division rule in TherapyPM that separates claims based on both the Date of Service (DOS) and the individual therapy session.

When this rule is enabled, each session—on each date—is placed on its own separate claim. This prevents multiple sessions from being grouped on the same HCFA, ensuring clean, session-specific billing.

Where to Find This Setting?

1. Navigate to Billing > Billing Setup > Billing Settings. 
2. Under Claims Division Rules, toggle ON the Split by DOS and Session Billing under the Action column. 

Why is This Rule Useful?

This rule is ideal when:

• A patient receives multiple sessions on the same day, or

• Your payer requires each therapy session to be billed individually,

• You want more granular billing for documentation or compliance.
