A new “Box 32 from POS” toggle has been added to Billing Settings to provide two ways for the system to fetch the Place of Service and Region information for patients. This information will also populate in HCFA and EDI. Below are the two ways the toggle can be used:

 

Toggle On: When the toggle is turned ON, the Region information for Place of Service will come from the Place of Service settings section.

 

Toggle Off: When the toggle is turned OFF (the default setup), the Region information of Place of Service will come from the Patient Info section.

 

How to engage/disengage the Box 32 from POS toggle:

 

  1. In the TherapyPM Admin Portal, click the Settings tab from the left navigation bar.
  2. Select Billing Setup and click Billing Settings option.
  3. Users can turn ON/OFF the “Box 32 from POS” toggle.
  4. Turn ON Toggle – Click the toggle to turn ON the option (denoted by turquoise color toggle).
  5. Once the toggle is turned ON, the region information will be coming from the Place of Service section. Click the Place of Service option under the Billing setup tab.
  6. The region information comes from the Place of Service table for the corresponding place of service selected for the appointment.
  7. For place of service entries without a region option in the table, it will work as though the Box 32 from POS toggle is turned OFF, meaning the region information will come from the Patient Info section.
  8. Turn OFF Toggle – This will be the default setting in TherapyPM.
  9. Once the toggle is turned OFF, the region information will be coming from the Patient Info section of the Patient. Click the Patient tab and select the necessary patient from the list to access the Patient Info screen.
  10. The Place of Service and Region information will be coming from the fields in the Patient Info screen.
