Overview:
To expedite invoicing and ensure timely payments, we recommend using the Charge Patient option. This feature allows you to directly charge the patient a specific amount (such as a deductible or copay) before the billing process is fully completed. By doing this, you can invoice families sooner rather than waiting for the entire claim to process.
Steps to Charge a Patient:
Navigate to Appointment>List View
Locate the specific session for which you want to charge the patient.
Under the Action column, click on the three dots (...)
Select Charge Patient from the dropdown menu.
Enter the appropriate amount (e.g., deductible or copay).
Confirm the charge.
Benefits:
Speeds up the invoicing process.
Ensures timely payments from patients.
Reduces the waiting time associated with full claim processing.
