A claim is auto-generated when an appointment status is updated to Rendered. A rendered appointment will be accompanied by a yellow lock icon in the List View which denotes that the claim is generated and is available in the Billing module. During this state, the appointment cannot be edited as it is blocked. To edit the appointment, the user has to identify the claim in the Billing module and Revert it.


Render an Appointment in TherapyPM:

  1. Access the List View option under the Appointment tab in the left navigation.
  2. Use the filters in the List View and click the Go button to generate the desired appointments.
  3. Identify the desired appointment, then click the Action (...) button and select the Edit Appointment option. An unrendered appointment will have a blue unlocked icon associated with it.
  4. In the Edit Appointment screen, select the Rendered option from the list and click the Save Changes button.
  5. Once the appointment is rendered, the yellow lock icon denoting it as billing will appear for the appointment.


Retract the Claim in the Billing Module:

  1. The generated claims can be accessed in the Primary Billing Manager option under the Billing tab in the left navigation.
  2. The claims that are not batch can be accessed in the Process Billing tab. Use the filters and click the Go button to generate the required claims 
  3. All the claim(s) will be generated in the data table.
  4. Select the claim(s) by using the checkbox in the data table to generate more options. Select the Retract option from the list and click the Save button. After clicking the Save button, the claim will be removed from the Billing module.
  5. The appointment will become an unlocked appointment in the List View to make any edits. Once the claims are reverted, the icon under the lock/ unlock column in the List View will turn into the Turquoise color Unlock icon. This means that the appointment information can be edited in the Edit Appointment screen.
