This article explains how you can create a new place of service. 


The POS (Place of Service) Setup allows you to configure and manage the service locations used for billing and claim generation.

The POS codes added in this section will populate while scheduling appointments you can assign appointment to desired POS and will flow through to billing. This helps streamline the claim generation process and ensures accurate Place of Service reporting on insurance claims.


Add New Place of Service
 

  1. Navigate to the Settings tab (left). Under Billing Setup, go to "Place of Service". You will see a list of POS that you have added in the past. 
  2. To create a new one, click on the orange "Add Place of Service" button on the top right side of the screen. 
  3. Add Place of Service Pop up will appear fill in the below details:
    a. Place of Service: Add a Description.
    b. Place if Service Code: The Code used for billing.
    c. Region: If your practice has different location you can assign the desired region.
    d. Click on Save to finalize. 


Manage Place of Service

  1. Telehealth: If the added POS is a virtual session, click on the Telehealth toggle. 
  2. Active: If the added POS is not in use toggle of to make inactive and on to be active.
  3. Action: 
    Edit Place of Service: Click on the pen-paper icon.
    Delete Place of Service: Click on the red trash icon.

 

Note: If the POS is currently in use, you would not be able to delete it.
