This article explains how you can request verification of benefits (VOB) for your patients. 


Verification of Benefits can be documented in-house by your practice using this feature. However, TherapyPM’s Verification of Benefits services are only available if you are enrolled in TherapyPM Billing Services.

How to Request Verification of Benefits (VOB)?

To request a verification of benefits, follow these instructions:

  1. Navigate to the Patients module.
  2. Under the Patients list, select your preferred patient using the filters. 
  3. Once you select the patient, click on VOB on the left side under the Patient Name. 
  4. A list with all the information will appear. In the top right corner, click on the orange VOB Request button. 
  5. A pop-up VOB Request will appear. Update the patients' required details to receive a verification request.  
  6. Double-check the details on the form before saving. Once completed, click the Save button. 
  7. You will receive a confirmation on your screen, indicating that your request has been successfully submitted. Additionally, an email containing the requested details will be sent to your designated agent for further processing.
  8.  The agent will review the request and verify the benefits. Once the verification is complete, they will save the verification form. An email will be automatically sent to the facility administrator, confirming that the patient's Verification of Benefits has been successfully verified. You will also receive a notification in the notification tab, informing you of the verification status.
